Juicy shrimp and tender pasta come together in a creamy, Cajun-inspired sauce with plenty of savoury spice and just the right amount of heat.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Organic Louisiana Fried Chicken
- 4 oz pasta
- 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated, plus more to serve
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Directions
Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain the water and cover the pasta to keep warm.
Coat the shrimp with Louisiana Fried Chicken. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and saut for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until the shrimp is no longer translucent. Remove from skillet and cover to keep warm.
In the same skillet, melt butter with the minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Add in the diced tomatoes and saut for about 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the heavy whipping cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer, then reduce to medium/low heat and continue 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
Add the shrimp and pasta back into the skillet and stir until pasta is coated in sauce and heated through. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve.
